Palico
The series' familiar cat companion, carrying tools and a weapon for the front line.
Adventurers / classes & companions
Named hunters, one customizable Fated Adventurer and three buddy types. Compare every class, weapon and team role before you spend a contract.
The squad is the build
Outlanders puts named characters beside the classic Monster Hunter gear loop. Each named Adventurer is tied to a weapon and a class, with a unique kit that changes how the weapon feels. The Fated Adventurer is the exception: a custom hunter who can use every weapon and fill any role.
Do not recruit by rarity alone. A Support who keeps the squad alive can be worth more than a second damage dealer. Use the Adventurer tier list for a pre-launch comparison, then read individual pages for combos, team pairings and unlock details.
Roster
Every announced profile we can verify, including the Fated Adventurer. Haze is listed as announced but not yet fully detailed.
Showing 12 characters
A front-line Great Sword Adventurer who turns pressure and damage into explosive charged finishers. Built for players who like to commit.
A Dual Blades Disruptor who chains rapid slashes into enhanced follow-ups. High tempo, high uptime and very little patience for slow monsters.
A highly mobile Bow Assault Adventurer whose Thunder Coating rewards accurate casts. Built for ranged players who want speed and precision.
A Support Lance Adventurer who turns steady attacks into Resolve and spends it on a shielded finishing blow. The squad's safest anchor.
The free pre-registration Adventurer: a nimble Dual Blades Disruptor built around stamina, evasion and Demon Gauge acceleration.
A guard-first Assault Lance Adventurer who builds Impetus from clean defense and converts it into stronger thrusts.
A Support Bow Adventurer who heals allies, applies Spores and detonates them for damage and buffs. The most tactical backline pick.
A Rathian-inspired Long Sword Assault Adventurer with a shamisen-sheathed blade. Graceful evasions and faster Spirit Gauge generation.
A Paolumu-inspired Heavy Bowgun Disruptor who uses aerial mobility and rapid fire to interrupt monsters from above.
A story commander and Great Sword Fire Disruptor introduced with the Crimson Authority event. A rare aggressive support-style sword user.
Haze was revealed in the Tokyo Game Show 2026 trailer. Class, weapon and launch availability are still unannounced.
The customizable protagonist and the only Adventurer not locked to one weapon. The most flexible and reliably free long-term pick.
No Adventurers match that filter.
Not alone
Buddies are part of the build. Their class and skills matter as much as the Adventurer's weapon.
The series' familiar cat companion, carrying tools and a weapon for the front line.
An Aesoland native that uses tools and Radiantite to disrupt the hunt and build facilities.
A songbird-like companion whose voice supports Adventurers with healing and buffs.
Class synergy
Assault Adventurers pair with Palico, Disruptors with Rutaco, and Supports with Trillan. Matching the role is a useful starting point, not a mandatory rule.
Team building
Assault Adventurers create the damage windows. They are the best choice when your squad already has sustain and needs a part break.
Weapon tier listDisruptors weaken, interrupt and create safe windows. A good Disruptor can cancel the attack that would have ended the run.
Keres buildSupport Adventurers provide healing, shields and buffs. Their value rises with the difficulty of the monster, not with their own damage.
