Keres, the Dual Blades Disruptor in Monster Hunter Outlanders MHO roster / SSR
Quick answer

Keres is a Disruptor-class Dual Blades Adventurer. Do not let the combo end. The best starting point is a Dual Blades built around the role, with a Pyro alongside.

Who they are

Keres overview

Keres is the purest expression of the Dual Blades fantasy: constant pressure, fast follow-ups and a combo chain that makes the monster feel one step behind. Her official kit emphasizes enhanced follow-ups, so the goal is not simply to mash attacks but to keep the correct sequence alive.

As a Disruptor, she also helps open windows for the rest of the squad. The weapon's speed makes her a strong pick for legs, tails and any part that needs a lot of small hits. Pair her with a heavy hitter and the hunt becomes a race to the first topple.

Kit breakdown

Keres abilities & playstyle

Enhanced follow-ups

Certain skills unlock stronger follow-up attacks. Learn the branch points in her chain and save the enhanced finish for a part that is already exposed.

Relentless combo

Keres thrives on continuous hits. Short, safe combo segments keep the pressure up without locking her into a long animation at the wrong time.

Disruptor pressure

Her class is built around weakening and controlling the monster. Use rapid hits to trigger staggers, then let the squad convert the opening.

In the field

How to play Keres

Positioning

Hug the hip and switch to the tail or leg after the monster commits. Her speed makes it tempting to stay in front; resist that.

Strengths

Excellent hit counts, strong element/status application and one of the best kit flows for players who love aggressive melee.

Weaknesses

Low per-hit damage and a stamina-hungry style. Her enhanced follow-ups are not worth dying for.

Squad planning

Best team role & partners

Keres's primary value is mobile part pressure and stagger support. Pair them with Adventurers who cover the opposite job: a Support if they are an Assault, or a burst damage dealer if they are holding the monster in place.

Weapon pairing

Best weapons for Keres

Start with the Dual Blades guide. This is the easiest weapon to pick up and one of the hardest to stop playing. Its mobility covers mistakes, but good stamina management and part focus separate clean hunts from messy ones.

  • Odogaron tree
  • Pukei-Pukei tree
  • Thunder element tree

Weapon rule

Keres is built around the Dual Blades. Swapping trees changes the element and raw profile, but it will not change the Adventurer's core kit.
