Radobaan is weak to Ice and Dragon. Break the head first and bring a Hammer if you want the cleanest first clear. Peel the bone, stop the roll.
Field notes
Radobaan overview
Radobaan turns the terrain into its armor. The bone plates around its body absorb damage and make some hit zones bounce, while the roll turns it into a high-speed hazard. The fight is about breaking the coating, not racing the health bar.
Ice is the best element. Blunt weapons can crack the bone plating, and ranged weapons can target the exposed body between rolls. When the armor breaks, the monster's defense drops and the tail becomes easier to sever.

Radobaan weakness & best weapons
Elemental damage is only part of the answer. Choose a weapon that can safely reach the part you need to break. The recommendations below are a starting point for a first clear, not a hard rule.
| Weakness | Recommended weapon | Why it works |
|---|---|---|
| Ice / Dragon | Hammer | Head first, questions later It gives you a clean route to the main break. |
| Secondary option | Bow | Coatings, charge and clean angles Use it if you are already comfortable with the moveset. |

What to break
Breakable parts & materials
The recommended break order is: 1. Head, 2. Bone plating, 3. Tail. This is the safest sequence for a typical first hunt. If your armor or weapon recipe needs a specific part, target that break and leave the rest for a later run.

Hunt plan
How to beat Radobaan
Break the bone plating
Focus a single section of plating rather than spreading damage across the body. A broken plate exposes softer hide and creates a stagger. Hammer and other blunt weapons are especially good at this job.
Treat the roll as a pass
Stand near a wall or open lane and let the roll pass. Chasing it is a waste of stamina. The recovery after the roll is the window to hit the head or the exposed side.
Use Ice to shorten the armor phase
Ice attacks create consistent bonus damage and help open the body. If you use a raw weapon, aim for the legs and a single plate; spreading damage around the armor only prolongs the phase.
Take the tail after the first break
The tail is a manageable sever target once a plate is broken and the roll recovery leaves the hips exposed. If you do not need the tail material, spend the window on the head instead.
Radiantite watch
Radiant form & variant notes
Radiant Radobaan is a confirmed transformed hunt. Radiant Radobaan is listed in the beta roster. Its rolling armor is reinforced with Radiantite, so the usual strategy applies with less room for error: focus one plate, use the roll recovery and break the Radiant part when the glow appears. Ice remains the starting element.
Radiant rule
Carry the base weakness but plan for the new hazard. A safe clear with slightly lower damage is better than a perfect elemental build that spends half the fight healing. Read the Radiant species guide.
Preparation
Radobaan checklist
- Ice is the strongest element; Dragon is the alternative.
- Concentrate damage on one bone plate at a time.
- Do not chase the roll — punish the stop.
- The tail is easiest after a plate break.
First-clear rule
Pick one break, one element and one safe punish. Do not try to optimize the entire hunt before you have survived it once.
